We moved into our new studio! We're ready to collaborate, hosting a variety of classes and workshops by inspiring teachers in the community. This is what you'll find in the Hive as we grow...
• Theme-Based Creativity Workshops - Most of our children's classes are organized this way.
• Studio Classes - Painting, drawing, 3D, clay, fiber arts, etc...
• Nature Art - Creating art outside and in the studio with natural materials.
• Hikes - Deepening relationship with place through foraging for natural materials — clay, stones, fibers, pigments, etc... and handouts / guidance for how to make art with these foraged materials.
• Traditional Crafts - Individual and communal projects. Learning traditional crafts while slowing down and appreciating the beauty of diverse cultures and histories (our own and others).
• Process Art - Creative practices for contemplation and self-connection.
• Intuitive Painting - Individual and small group offerings. Overcoming blocks to creative self-expression; Deepening contact with our own healing creative energy, intuition, and internal guidance.
• Social Art Nights - Art nights to strengthen community. (Example, LGBTQ Youth Art night.)
• Art Bars - Art buffets / family-style art to add a sense of play, more connection, and depth to social and purposeful group environments.
• Art-ivism - Bringing self-connection and service together.
• Community Engagement - Collaboration with community partners and local artists. Facilitated creative group process for connection and meaningful fun.
Like bees, we go in and out of the hive. Lots of our programming is outside, in nature, foraging, or making art outside (like Fairy House Camp), or involved in the community / art activism (like Mural Camp).
