This is a Wildcraft & Miniatures/mixed media class with a book club element for teens with an interest in fantasy literature.
Participants decide on a book as a group and discuss the book they're reading while doing art each week. When they finish a book, they can create art based on that book, and in some cases, using the actual book!
Art prompts and demos will be offered throughout. Project Ideas
-Hidden dioramas inside books
-Miniature scenes and characters from books
-Book Nooks
-Altered Books
-Bookmarks - Mixed-media, printmaking, fabric, beaded, etc...
-Mixed-media painting/drawing based on characters
About the books
This group will be reading young adult fantasy, both dystopian fantasy and "cozy" or feel-good fantasy.
The group will decide on a book together based on interests. All books will be age appropriate and approved of by all the parents.
