Mermaid Jewels and Power Tools
Deep dive into your creativity this summer at Ocean Camp.
Having spent the last camp in the tiny world of miniatures, we’re ready to go big and expand out, creating art inspired by the vastness of the ocean.
We get to experiment with lots of different mediums and tools in this camp. Depending on the interests of the group, this week could include:
- 3D found-object sculpture
- Mixed media: Paintings, drawings, and art journals
- Acrylic Pour Paintings
- Outdoor studio: We'll bring drills, tools, and other supplies to the beach for making found-object art, mobiles, sea jewelry, and hand-building with natural foraged clay.
-Ephemeral nature art
-Fiber arts/Doll (mermaid?) making
-Miniatures - Ocean-themed fairy houses (mermaid houses?) to be left in the hollow of a tree at the beach for people to find
-Gelli printing
-Bikini boxes
Our style is emergent, we follow the interests and needs of the group.
Beehive summer Art Camps
• For Ages 11-15
• Camps run Monday-Friday from 10am to 3pm
• Located at Explorations Academy in downtown Bellingham.
